Cookie Policy

Effective date: October 21, 2026
Last updated: October 21, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Ebenezer International Christian Academy ("EICA," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on the website located at https://eicaschool.com, on our landing pages, and on any other website we own or control that links to this Cookie Policy (together, the "Sites"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains in more detail how we collect, use, and share personal information.

Enrollment, student accounts, coursework, and online payments take place on the Edutino platform (eica.edutino.com) and on payment pages provided by Stripe. Those services are operated by third parties and use their own cookies, which are described in their own cookie and privacy notices.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies serve different purposes, such as helping us understand how a site is being used, protecting forms from spam, letting you move between pages efficiently, and measuring how well our advertising works.

Cookies may be session cookies (which expire when you close your web browser) or persistent cookies (which stay on your device until they expire or you delete them).

Cookies may also be first-party cookies, which are set by the website you are visiting, or third-party cookies, which are set by a service provider or business partner whose content or code runs on that website. Third-party cookies can be used by those parties to recognize your browser or device when it visits other websites.

Other Similar Technologies

In addition to cookies, the Sites and the services we use may rely on similar technologies, which we also refer to as "cookies" in this policy:

  • Pixels and tags (also called web beacons or clear GIFs): small pieces of code or tiny images embedded in a web page or email that tell a provider that a page was viewed, a form was submitted, or an email was opened.
  • Scripts: JavaScript code from a provider that runs in your browser to measure visits, check for automated abuse, or record advertising conversions.
  • Browser storage: local storage and similar browser features that let a website store information on your device, much like a cookie.

The Cookies and Technologies We Use

We use the following categories of cookies and similar technologies on the Sites.

1. Strictly Necessary

These technologies are needed for the Sites to work securely. Our contact form (eicaschool.com/contact) and teacher application form (eicaschool.com/apply-career) use hCaptcha to tell people apart from automated bots and to block spam. When you load one of these pages, hCaptcha may set cookies and collect information about your browser, device, and interactions with the page in order to provide this protection.

  • Provider: hCaptcha (Intuition Machines, Inc.). hCaptcha Privacy Policy.
  • How to control them: You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings, but the contact and application forms may not work if you do. You can always reach us by phone or email instead.
2. Analytics

These technologies help us understand how visitors use the Sites, such as which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive at the Sites, and what type of browser or device they use, so that we can improve our content. Our website developer, Ponemus, provides website analytics through its analytu.com service, which runs a script on every page of the Sites and may use cookies, browser storage, or similar identifiers to recognize returning visits.

  • Provider: Ponemus (analytu.com). ponemus.com.
  • How to control them: You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings, or use a browser or extension that blocks analytics scripts.
3. Advertising

We advertise on platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google, and TikTok. These platforms' pixels or tags may be used on our Sites or landing pages, and these platforms may also use their own cookies and data on their platforms, to measure the results of our ads (conversion tracking), to build audiences of people who have visited our Sites or interacted with our ads, and to show our ads to those people again later (retargeting). These companies may combine this information with other information they hold about you and may use it as described in their own privacy policies. We do not use student education records for advertising.

4. Fonts and Media

The Sites load fonts from Google Fonts and play some videos from content delivery networks (Amazon Web Services and Wistia's delivery network). When your browser requests these files, the providers receive standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type, which they need to deliver the content. We do not use these services to set advertising or analytics cookies.

Your Choices

The Sites are intended for visitors in the United States. You have several ways to control cookies and similar technologies:

  • Browser settings. Most browsers let you see, block, and delete cookies and other site data. Many browsers accept cookies by default until you change your settings. Check the help section of your browser for instructions. If you block all cookies, some features of the Sites, such as our protected forms, may not work properly.
  • Global Privacy Control. If your browser or extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of targeted advertising for that browser, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • Ad platform settings. You can manage how Meta, Google, and TikTok use your information for ads through the settings listed in the Advertising section above.
  • Industry opt-outs. You can opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies through the Digital Advertising Alliance at aboutads.info/choices and the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org. Not every company participates in these programs.
  • Blocking images and scripts. Most browsers and email apps let you prevent images from loading automatically, which limits pixels in web pages and emails. Browser extensions can also block tracking scripts.
  • Mobile device settings. Your phone or tablet may let you limit the use of its advertising identifier for interest-based advertising.

Opt-outs usually apply only to the browser and device on which you set them, so you may need to repeat them on each browser and device you use. Opt-outs that rely on cookies may stop working if you clear your cookies. If you opt out of targeted advertising, you will still see ads online, but they may be less relevant to you.

Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example when we add or change the services we use. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Please check this page periodically for changes.
